Christmas Meal Celebrating A Successful Year

less than 1 minute read

We celebrated a successful 2019 at the Christmas meal - we took four people through the exams this year and took part in Exercise Blue Ham three times with great success in October

We enjoyed a good meal out at Brewer’s Fayre and a few drinks, after which a few of use went down to the the King Arthur to extend the festivities.

We had an almost full house with 12 people. Martin G5FM was there in spirit as he was playing with APRS at home and Richard G7LEE had a APRS handheld to give him a test signal

APRS signal from G7LEE for Martin G5FM.

The random walk is because the GPS signal was weak on the ground floor of a two storey building. The 144.8 MHz signal did well to get out of a steel-frame building usign the FT3DE stock handheld antenna from a coat pocket.

Please note that the next Club meeting will be on the 3rd January next year due to the changes in the Christmas schedule
