  1. ISO9001 specifies requirements for a quality management system, registration is to demonstrate an organisations ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer requirements. What this means for components is that the devices come from the manufacturer specified.

    You cannot always rely on this from Ebay and Amazon third-party suppliers, there is a problem with fake parts and relabelled parts even for some professional users. As hobbyists we may be prepared to accept the risk of substandard performance for a lower price, but it is good to be aware of this. For instance I would advise against buying power transistors from non-certified sources, unless they are very generic. They are very easy to relabel. Richard G7LEE
